A crossover program, which meant to include not only sacred songs and arias, but also musical songs, pop classics and country music. The idea was met with wide spread skepticism. Nevertheless, Mr. Bauer kept on pursuing the concept and entered a collaboration with <b>Angelika Milster\u2019s <\/b>pianist <b>Juergen Grimm <\/b>(winner of the 2001 international \u201c<b>jazz and church organ<\/b>\u201d competition).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The two made the crossover program a reality, compiling a set of timeless melodies, which they re-arranged to be performed in churches and cathedrals accompanied by an organ.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The tour is ongoing and <b>Angelika Milster\u2019s <\/b>Church concerts are as popular as ever. She will be performing throughout the country this autumn and winter, 2018\/2019. She is usually accompanied on the organ by <b>Professor Juergen Grimm<\/b>, who proves to be a highly versatile performer. Regardless of whether the instrument is played in a small village church or in a vast cathedral. The pieces are specially \u201ctranscribed\u201d for the organ: \u201cA characteristic of the organ is that it is devoid of keyboard expression. There is only, so to speak, \u201csound on\u201d and \u201csound off\u201d. A note played on the organ does not fade away like a note on a piano. It continues to sound until the key is released\u201d, says Professor J\u00fcrgen Grimm.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>\u201cHoffnung\u201d<\/strong> program consists of classical Christmas carols, such as <span style=\"color: #666;\"><strong>\u201cSilent Night\u201d<\/strong> <\/span>or \u201c<strong>O How Joyfully\u201d<\/strong>. In addition, a number of American Christmas pop songs have been translated into German especially for <span style=\"color: #666;\"><strong>Angelika Milster<\/strong><\/span>, such as <span style=\"color: #666;\"><strong>\u201cRudolph\u201d<\/strong><\/span>, <strong><span style=\"color: #666;\">\u201cSleigh Ride\u201d<\/span><\/strong> or <span style=\"color: #666;\"><strong>\u201cWhite Christmas\u201d<\/strong><\/span>. Added to these are musical songs such as \u201cI Don&#8217;t Know How to Love Him\u201d or \u201cFrom a Distance\u201d.
